October 15 A Chinese Nobel Laureate in LiteratureI am such an idiot! How come I never know (or maybe I'd heard about it but didn't pay attention?) there has ever been a Chinese awarded Nobel Prize in Literature in 2000. Gao Xingjian, (1940- ) produced his drama, novel and critics in China up until 1986 before he left for Europe. The most exciting part is he wrote in Chinese about Chinese people from a Chinese heart.
Yu Dafu is right when he talked about how pathetic a nation is when it is blind and deaf about its native heroes. Lord, I must go check it out. October 08 The Dear-friend-become-mother-to-be DayI was thrown into the ocean, waves rushing over me, when I logged on MSN and a single piece of offline MSN message popped out blatantly. A very dear friend just learned out her pregnancy. The moment dropped in the Pacific when she failed to reach me during my night followed by my attempts to get her before her dawn. At this time she might have passed the overwelming feeling and started planning on maternity, hohoho, the top items would be, let me guess, bomb the office, book the air tickets for grandma, paint warm the bedroom, buy mother-to-be guidebooks, fill in the top page of a brand-new pink log and name, re-name the one in Chinese, in English officially and playfully~~~
I start to love the little one for her mother, the girl I grew up with and witnessed how she'd been giving all she got, generously and wisely.
The best maternity, and a fashionable one. And make sure to pass down genes of beauty.
September 29 PREFACEI'll be updating this blog more frequently from today on, Possibly. But dear all, please kindly ignore me. I failed in keeping a diary, get tired with talking to myself and long for audience, even though public blog has always seem a little strange to me.
If you click the mouse out of curiosity when time lay heavily, keep in mind 'this girl knows nothing what she's talking about' and get giddy.
April 05 For the Fool in us.One day a little fox dug a hole in the ground, deeply amazed by her own work, "I've never seen any hole more interesting than this one.", thought she. So she jumped into it. Before long she realized she had to climb out of the hole she fervently dug and voluntarily hopped into, with paws and limbs, tail and nose and teeth, all by herself.
When we grow up, we start to realize we are not made a fool by others, the Fool lives in us. Happy April Fool's day for the happy, the brave, the tortured-then-relieved, the enchanted-then-disillusioned fool we hold dear in all of us.
March 08 Danny Way Jumps the Great WallI was actually searching for the vedio of David Copperfield, the magician, travelling ''through'' the Great Wall, when I discovered this amazing kid.
I don't understand exactly what's in his gene that renders him so inclined to risk his life, but there's something about this world-record holding kid that's beautiful to watch. December 29 Happy Xmas Below is all I wanna say to the near and the dear ones.
Happy Xmas (War is over)——John Lennon
December 18 What do I fight for?I wish I could fight for those tone my heart mild and tender:
a sentence composed in e-minor,
the moonlight on the Thames River.
But dear, why do you go that far,
leaving behind your star,
laughing in the crowd
hoping to forget your heart?
''I'm supposed to fight to be a good soldier'', thought I,
''Better forget that I get nothing to fight for
along with those
I wished to fight for.''
September 04 my living-bedroomMy favorite corner: the tulip painting, the wood shelf and the bed with the cover. One-day trip to the Niagara FallThe two falls did not disappoint me during this one-day trip by revealling its secrets and beauty layer by layer. I have been fully prepared that this wonder prossibly will not be as amazing as the rumours go, 'cause fame just will strengthen itself in a unreasonable way, and a fall could be no more than a shed of water falling down from a cliff, but I found that there was no place to use my before-hand mental constructure at all. Niagara is indeed Niagara!
The high points of the day:
a. The American fall, which was closer to me at the beginning seemed to be more spectacular than the canadian Horseshoe Fall, though I have been told that the Horseshoe is more worth seeing. At the first glance, it could not be identified as a horseshoe, since the curve on my side was invisible from my position. Not untill I approached the Niagara on the Maid of the Mist (a tour boat) to go beneath the falls and into the mist did I realize that I was wrong: the hourseshoe is the major one of the two, and its beauty is just of the perfect type! The cliffed is scoured into a deep intrenched curve in the cliff by the water, and the falling water hits the rock and water beneath, forming a mist-like fountain up in to the sky almost twice as high as the cliff itself, which is about 50m.
Your judguemnt can be arbitary without getting dwon the steps to chech it out. Just go into the mist!
b. The rainbow and the rainbow bridge. I have never seem as wide in span and as complete in shape as this one is. It was 4pm, and I was heading back to the bus stop, but the point of day was just yet come! The rainbow hang before the Horseshoe with the steel Rainbow Bridge in the back ground. The natural beauty and artificial streghth were juxitaoised adding charm to each other.
c. Nature, which is the creation of God, provides multi-dimensional secrets and beauty to be discovered and explored, like a kaleidascope. The blazing sunshine, glittering waterfall, calm up-stream emrald river, the flying, swimming, roosting seagulls and dusks, the bright green plants, the fish-like smell, the thunder of the fall and people speaking different languages just go together in an amazingly harmonious way. Niagara has got its reputation not simply because of its geographical feature, but all these elements interacting, thus revealing the creativity and love hiding inside. |
